Workshop fabrication is preferred where quality control, welding conditions and dimensional accuracy benefit from a controlled environment. This typically applies to custom skids, complex assemblies and larger structural items. On-site fabrication is used for modifications to existing equipment, installations where components can't be transported, or repairs that need to be completed in place. Many projects combine both: components are prefabricated in the workshop and then installed and welded onsite. We'll recommend the most practical approach based on your project requirements.

Yes. We regularly fabricate custom replacement components from site measurements or from existing worn parts used as a pattern. Our team works in stainless steel (304/316L), duplex and super duplex (2507/S32750) and aluminium, and we can access RPEQ-certified engineering through Neumann Contractors where design verification is required.

Yes. Pressure testing is part of our fabrication scope, where required by the application or client specification, as demonstrated in projects such as our sulphuric acid skid pipe upgrade. Discuss your specific testing or documentation requirements with us at the quoting stage so we can confirm what's achievable.

The more detail we have, the more accurate our quote. Useful starting points include drawings or sketches with dimensions, material specifications, applicable standards or client specifications, quantities and delivery requirements, and any surface treatment or coating requirements. Where drawings don't exist, we can often work from a site inspection and measurements. For straightforward items, a phone conversation and photos can sometimes be enough to get started.
